Congratulations to Plan2Peak's Traci Cummings for winning another medal in the Empire State Games. The Games, being held in Buffalo, are the oldest state games. With six regions competing for points and the Team Overall the Western New York region jumped out to quick lead. In the Men's race, Jay Joslyn took the Gold, James Thompson the Sivler and Craig Polston the Bronze. Western also had 4 of the top 5 and 6 of the top 10 places on the day. Coach Peter Cummings couldn't be happier with the team taking 4 of possible 6 Medals.
A few other performances of note were Denise Hochul and Ric Wolf's. Ric traveled with his family up from NYC to participate in the ESG Masters Games. He posted the 9th fastest time in the 45-54 age group while Denise Hochul won the Bronze Medal in her divison. Great Rides!
Tomorrow is the Road Race. The Boston course will be a hard one but the team is prepared. Good luck.
